Customer Success Story: IMT Global Streamlines Operations with D-Tools SI
Integrated Media Technologies (IMT) Global, a Southern California integration firm, has streamlined its complex project management and improved team collaboration and efficiency nationwide by adopting D-Tools System Integrator (SI) over the past three years, consolidating multiple platforms into one unified system that supports customer portals, equipment cataloging, and project drawings, thereby enhancing communication and speeding up processes like change order management.
For integration firms managing complex projects, keeping teams aligned while moving quickly can be a constant challenge. For Integrated Media Technologies (IMT) Global, an integration company based in Southern California, implementing D-Tools System Integrator (SI) has helped simplify collaboration, improve efficiency, and keep projects moving forward.
Eric Broyles, Senior Project Engineer at IMT Global, says the company has steadily expanded its use of the platform as its benefits became clear.
“We’ve been using D-Tools System Integrator (SI) for about 3 years now,” Broyles explains. “Company-wide it’s been about a year since we deployed it across the entire United States, and it’s going really well for us.”
Before adopting a unified platform, the team relied on multiple systems to manage project information. That often meant data was scattered across different tools, making collaboration more complicated. According to Broyles, D-Tools SI helped consolidate those processes.
“My favorite part of using D-Tools SI is the collaboration that our whole team can use in one platform,” he says. “We historically have had multiple platforms for all different kinds of information but everything now lives in one place… one-stop shop… and we can disperse information throughout our company with one portal.”
For IMT, several core features have become essential to their workflow. Broyles points to tools that support both internal teams and client communication throughout the lifecycle of a project.
“The main things we use with D-Tools SI is the customer portal… our customers sign quotes and we send them over through that portal,” he explains. “We use the Visio portion of it for our drawings, and then we also use the equipment library to catalog all our equipment that we use.”
Speed and responsiveness are also critical when managing projects that frequently evolve. Change orders, in particular, can create bottlenecks if they aren’t processed quickly. Broyles notes that D-Tools SI has made a noticeable difference in that area.
“One feature that has helped us quite a bit is when we are doing Change Orders,” he says. “We can turn those around rather quickly to our customers. A lot of times those are on a time crunch, so we can get them sometimes same day and keep the project moving efficiently.”
For integration firms looking to streamline operations while improving visibility across teams, Broyles believes the platform offers clear value.
“As an integrator, it has helped quite a bit with time management and I do recommend using D-Tools SI for other integrators and other companies that are looking to streamline the process,” he advises.
